AUDITIONS FOR BOTH ACTORS AND VOCALISTS Swing into the 1940’s as Inspire Theatre’s No Stone Unturned brings classic songs and authentic radio commercials to life.
No Stone Unturned tells the story of a noir detective and his bumbling sidekick’s search for an actress’s missing sister. As the story unfolds, a Jazz Vocal Ensemble will be creating the ambience to whisk audiences to the pre-war, big-band era of musicality.

Vocalists should be prepared to learn 16-20 measures of a song.
SATB VOCALISTS:
In addition to the roles listed below, Inspire is seeking 4 – 6 SATB Vocalists to perform songs and commercial jingles of the 1940's on stage throughout the show. Hits like “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “In the Mood”, “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree”, and more. Along with these timeless tunes, radio jingles of the day will fill the scene changes with authenticity of the times. Think Pepsi, Wheaties, and Rinso Laundry Detergent, to name a few.

Slade Stone – 1940’s Noir Detective. Male. Age 25-55
Penelope – Ditzy secretary. Female. Age 25-55
Lola Winkleman – Femme Fatale, Star of the Silver Screen. Female. Age 25-55
Thomas O’Malley/Patty O’Malley – Dual role – Stone’s partner/Police sergeant. Bumbling. Male. Age 25-55
Linda O’Malley – Thomas’ wife and Stone’s girlfriend. Female. Age 25-55
Newsie – Street smart. Male or Female. 12-40
Dr. Chesterton – Product spokesperson. Male or Female. 35-60
Leopold Johnson – Maniacal double agent. Male. 25-70

THE STORY:
It’s 1940. Lola Winkleman, Star of the Silver Screen, needs help. Her kid sister is missing. One man can find her - Slade Stone. Private Investigator, Gumshoe, Plain Clothes Detective, Clue Sniffer, Inspector. Sometimes Stone has to go looking for a case, but this one walked through his door - in the shape of a beautiful movie star. Last seen at the Bottoms Up Club, Slade and his partner, O’Malley, must find the little sister before the press does. Along the way, they encounter lies, deceit, deception, murder, and great laughs. Will they find the girl? Will they get the girl? Will they outsmart the press? Will they get free samples from the sponsor? Intrigue, twists, and really funny bits.
