The Rochester Civic Theatre will be holding auditions for Mean Girls. Book by Tina Fey, Music by Jeff Richmond, and Lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Based on the Paramount Pictures film Mean Girls.This high-energy, uproariously funny musical adaptation of the cult classic film brings the halls of North Shore High School to life. Following Cady Heron — a wide-eyed teenager raised in the African savanna who is suddenly thrust into the uncharted wilderness of American high school — the show traces her meteoric rise through the ruthless social hierarchy dominated by Regina George and her impossibly glamorous clique, the Plastics. Hilarious, heartfelt, and refreshingly self-aware, Mean Girls is a musical that knows exactly how cruel the world can be — and dares to laugh at it anyway. So fetch.
