What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a diverse group of strong vocalists and performers, ages 18+ at the time of auditions. All ethnicities, gender identities, and body types are encouraged to audition. All roles are open.
Seymour Krelborn (Tenor)
A shy, awkward floral assistant with a kind heart and low self-esteem. Seymour longs for love and a better life, but his desperation leads him down a dangerous path. Requires strong acting skills, comedic timing, and emotional depth.
Audrey (Mezzo-Soprano)
A sweet, vulnerable woman stuck in an abusive relationship, dreaming of love, stability, and a life outside of Skid Row. Audrey is warm, funny, and deeply human. Requires strong vocal ability and the capacity for both comedy and sincere emotional storytelling.
Mr. Mushnik (Baritone)
The gruff, miserly owner of Mushnik’s Flower Shop. Opportunistic and manipulative, but often comedic. Strong character acting and comedic instincts are key.
Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. & Others (Baritone/Tenor)
An abusive, sadistic dentist who delights in pain—especially his own. A larger-than-life villain with strong rock vocals, physical comedy, and fearless commitment. Often doubles with other ensemble roles.
Audrey II - The Plant (Bass/Baritone)
A smooth-talking, soul-singing carnivorous plant with big personality and sinister charm. Typically voiced offstage while puppeteers operate the plant onstage. Requires powerful vocals, excellent rhythm, and commanding presence.
Crystal, Ronette, & Chiffon (The Urchins)
A trio inspired by 1960s girl groups who function as narrators, commentators, and occasional participants in the action. They are sassy, stylish, and soulful. Strong harmonies, rhythm, and movement skills required.

About Little Shop of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors is a dark comedy musical with music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman. Inspired by the 1960 film of the same name, the show blends rock, doo-wop, Motown, and musical theatre styles to tell the story of Seymour Krelborn, a meek florist whose discovery of a mysterious plant promises fame, fortune, and horrifying consequences.
At its core, Little Shop of Horrors is a satire about ambition, morality, capitalism, and the cost of selling your soul, wrapped in a fast-paced, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt musical.
