Audition Information
All people auditioning will be asked to fill out an audition information sheet. We prefer you fill in the form in advance, print it, and bring it with you to the audition – this will make your check in process go much faster. If you don't have access to a printer, you may complete the form before the start of your audition.

If you have a resume and/or headshot, please bring them to the audition.
Everyone will dance first. Please wear comfortable clothing for the dance audition.
After everyone has danced, the singing audition will follow. Please prepare a 32-bar song in the style of the show.
Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
On the night of your audition, please arrive at 6:30PM to be ready for the 7PM start.
Please be prepared to stay until 10PM

SYNOPSIS
Bend and snap your way to Sunset Playhouse for LEGALLY BLONDE: The Musical!
This fabulously fun show follows the journey of Elle Woods, a perky and determined sorority queen who trades fashion for law school to win back her ex-boyfriend. But along the way, Elle discovers her true power, proving that being yourself is always in style!
CHARACTERS (Ages are flexible)
Elle Woods: (18–20s) A bubbly, confident, and intelligent fashion major who follows her ex to Harvard Law School and discovers her own potential. Vocal range: Soprano (G#3 – G5)
Emmett Forrest: (20s–30s) Smart, kind, and slightly nerdy teaching assistant at Harvard who sees Elle’s potential and becomes her love interest. Vocal range: Tenor (B2 – G#4)
Paulette Buonofuonte: (30s–50s) Warm, humorous, and down-to-earth hair stylist who becomes Elle’s friend and confidante. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (A3 – A5)
Professor Callahan: (40s–60s) Charismatic but manipulative and unethical law professor at Harvard. Vocal range: Baritone (A2 – F#4)
Warner Huntington III: (18–20s) Elle’s ex-boyfriend; charming, self-absorbed, and ambitious. Vocal range: Tenor (Eb3 – Ab4)
Vivienne Kensington: (18–20s) Smart, polished, and initially Elle’s rival; eventually an ally. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (A3 – F5)
Brooke Wyndham: (20s–30s) A famously fit and energetic workout queen accused of murder; must be able to jump rope while singing. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (A3 – G5)
Kyle B. O’Boyle: (20s–40s) The UPS guy and Paulette’s love interest; has a small but very physical and comedic role. Vocal range: Non-singing or Baritone (optional)
Enid Hoopes: (18–20s) A strong feminist and classmate of Elle’s at Harvard; socially conscious and quirky. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (G3 – C5)
Serena: (18–20s) One of Elle’s Delta Nu sorority sisters; peppy, energetic, and sassy. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (G3 – G5)
Margot: (18–20s) Another of Elle’s bubbly and flirtatious sorority sisters. Vocal range: Soprano (G#3 – F5)
Pilar: (18–20s) Third Delta Nu sister; the boldest and most outspoken of the trio. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (G#3 – F5)
Kate: (18–20s) Elle’s driven and high-achieving sorority sister who helps her prepare for Harvard. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (Bb3 – Eb5)
Chutney Wyndham: (18–20s) Brooke’s bitter stepdaughter and a key witness in the courtroom. Vocal range: Non-singing or Ensemble
Elle’s Dad: (40s–60s) A wealthy, golf-loving man; more concerned with appearances than feelings. Vocal range: Baritone (optional)
Elle’s Mom: (40s–60s) Socialite and supportive of Elle’s fashion pursuits. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (optional)
Winthrop, Pforzheimer & Lowell: (30s–70s) Harvard admissions officers; played with exaggerated formality and humor. Vocal range: Various (Ensemble)
Ensemble: (18 and up) includes law students, Delta Nu girls, Harvard faculty, courtroom personnel, and more. These roles require a wide range of ages and vocal types (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone). Many ensemble members double in multiple small roles.
