Are We Delicious? Presents: Are We Dell'arte?
Audition dates and times:
Friday September 27th: 6p-8p
Saturday September 28th: 6p-8p
Seeking 5-7 actors (18+) of all identities who are ready to dive into the Delicious art form! This is a paid opportunity as well as a delightful experiment in controlled anxiety and chaos!
Starting with a blank slate, a small ensemble of the very best of Madison’s own writer/performers create a high-energy, engaging show in only 2 weeks! Banishing perfectionism and releasing the abundant creativity that lives in each of us, Are We Delicious? has created over 30 full professional productions since it's 2012 inception, including: comedies, dramas, mysteries, sagas, and musicals. This fall, Delicious will dive into the art, history and design of Commedia dell'arte.
What to bring: comfy clothes, a resume (or be ready to list a few cool things you've done on the audition form) and that's it! You may be asked to read something from the Dell'arte period of drama, device a piece quickly but we will be moving and playing!
Rehearsal information:
-all rehearsals and shows are in the evening. if an addition rehearsal or writing day needs to be added (ex: as a group you decide on a Saturday morning) that will be a collective decision as an ensemble.
- writing days and rehearsals will be the week of October 14th and the week of October 21st. Typically 7p-9p, 3-4 rehearsals per week.
*PLEASE BRING YOUR CONFLICTS*
- no writing or rehearsals the week of October 28th.
- Tech week: Nov 3rd- 6th. 6p-10p.
