This is the third and final play of Neil Simon’s autobiographical trilogy. It’s 1949, the war is over, and Eugene is back in Brighton Beach with his brother Stan. CAST NEEDS:
EUGENE JEROME (Age - 23). The younger of two brothers aspiring to become professional comedy writers. As the play's narrator, routinely breaks the fourth wall.
STANLEY JEROME (Age - 28). Eugene's older brother and writing partner. Ready for change, he pushes the two towards their dream.
KATE JEROME (AGE - early 50s). Eugene and Stanley's mom. She is the rock of the family and a pillar of strength when facing adversity.
BEN EPSTEIN (Age - mid 70s). Eugene and Stanley's grandpa. Kate's dad. Highly opinionated and ardent socialist.
JACK JEROME (Age - mid 50s). Eugene and Stanley's dad. A sad victim of his own choices.
BLANCHE MORTON (Age - ?). Kate's well-to-do sister. Enjoys the finer things in life.
