lend us your ears... and any other skills you have for Booze & The Bard's 2023 Fringe World season.
About this Event
Booze and the Bard would like to invite you to audition for our 2023 Fringe season. We are planning two shows in Fringe 2023, “Hamlet, Pints of Denmark” and “Twelfth Pint (or What You Spill)”, and require new performers for our crew.
We are looking for people who will be able to learn many roles, several heavy on Shakespearian language. The successful candidates will also be expected to take on production roles along with the rest of the cast, so experience with production work is desirable.
The audition process will take place on Sunday 11 September at 4pm. As the show is collaboratively devised we will be looking for your ability to work with the current cast in scenes that use both scripted and improvised dialogue.
Due to scheduling requirements, performers unable to regularly attend at least 1 of the weekly rehearsals will not be asked to audition.
Rehearsals Tuesdays 3pm - 7pm, Sundays 5:30pm - 9:30pm
Performances 20 January - 2 February.
Anyone of any race or gender may apply, however auditonees must be over the age of 18 and comfortable in settings with alcohol consumption. No person will be required to drink alcohol in rehearsal or performance if they do not wish to.
We ask that you consider any other productions you may have lined up around the time of Fringe 2023 as well as any work commitments you may have. It can be a stressful time, so we want to make sure whomever we bring on board is fully aware of what they’ll be taking on.
If this sounds like a role you would like to fill please fill in the linked form and we will get you set up with an audition.
