Open call for performance artists for a night of avant-garde theater at Broom Street Theater.We are seeking works-in-progress from performance artists of all disciplines! Whether your piece is fully formed or just a spark of an idea, we want to see it.
Auditions: August 29th & 30th, 6–8 PM at Broom Street Theater�(1119 Williamson St). Performances will be November 7 – 23, Thurs-Sun.
Prepare for:
*A short artist interview (let’s chat about your vision!)
*A performance snippet at any stage of development
*Feel free to bring samples and photographs of past work across any medium. I want to get to know you as an artist.
To secure an audition time slot, email [email protected] ahead of time. Walk-ups are welcome, but scheduling ensures smoother flow and private auditions for all.
Optional submission: Send a pitch of what you’d like to perform, past work samples (and your CV if you have one), alongside a short bio to that same email ([email protected]).
No prior documentation? No problem! If you’re an artist eager to create and express, we especially want to meet you.
Rehearsals will involve movement workshops (no dance experience required—just openness to explore!) and creative exercises led by director Chelsea Gaspard-Guthier to help bring out your instincts to help refine your work and create a cohesive showcase.

Submit proposals for live works (5-15 minutes) exploring:
*mysticism and altered states
*drag as evolution
*theatrical ecologies/choreographies of decay
*self transformation
*all bodies, disciplines and uncategorizable impulses welcome!
