BNS Productions, Charlotte's only Black Repertory Theatre Company, presents AUDACIOUS AUDITIONS, a dynamic workshop designed to heighten your audition skills and ensure you command any room with authenticity, preparation, and undeniably. Led by accomplished actor, director, playwright, producer, and voice talent artist, Brian Daye, participants will learn how to select appropriate monologues, make lasting first impressions, and respond to direction with flexibility & finesse. Whether you’re new to auditioning or looking to sharpen your technique, this workshop serves up practical tools, mock auditions, and personalized feedback, ensuring you leave unforgettable impressions - every time. Meet Master Teaching Artist, Brian Daye

BRIAN DAYE is an actor, director, playwright, producer and voice talent based in Charlotte, NC. His acting training includes Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles and ActTrue in Atlanta & New York. As a playwright, he has written the original plays “ONE IN THE SPIRIT”, which toured NC, VA & GA and “THE RACE”, which had a premiere play-reading for Lee Street Theatre in Salisbury, NC. His TV acting experience includes Lifetime’s, “Drop Dead Diva”, and commercials for Food Lion, Bojangles, and the NC Lottery. His film acting experience includes “Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too”, “Prisoners”, and the original films “Sanguine Addiction”, “Denial”, “Ebbing”, and “A Social Love Affair”. Brian’s directing experience includes “TRIBE” and “HOME” for OnQ Productions, “TUESDAY’S WITH MORRIE” and “August Wilson’s FENCES” for Lee Street Theatre and “MEMPHIS The Musical” for Hickory Community Theatre. His one-man show, “HEY YOU!! An Afrostereophonicjourney” was performed to sold-out audiences at the 2018 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City, The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius, NC in 2020 and The VAPA Center in Charlotte, NC in 2023. “HEY YOU!!” also won BEST PERFORMANCE and BEST PLAYWRIGHT at the 2022 PEACH Theatre and Film International Festival in Los Angeles. Brian’s latest original work, “BY ANY OTHER NAME - An Opus for James Baldwin”, in which he wrote and directed, premiered to sold out audiences in Charlotte’s Off-Broadway’s Black Box Theatre at The VAPA Center in June 2025. He is represented by JTA Talent in Charlotte.
