AUCKLAND RANBATS 2026 - RANKING SESSION 1.3Welcome back!!!
It's a new year and that means a new season of offline Standing Fierce events.
With a new year, we will also be implementing a new format.
With offline events finally returning to stability, we are super happy to finally be able to introduce the:
Auckland Ranking Battles System If you've ever played online rank mode in anything then you will definitely be familiar with how this works, for those that don't read on.
We have split the year into 3 seasons consisting of:
Grading Round - Each game will be a round robin instead of the usual double elimination style we normally run. We will then give players a ranking based on their results. (3 Divisions = Gold, Silver, Bronze.)
Warm up Round - The perfect time to get in as many casual games as possible with other players in your division or above. Talk shop about what your struggling with, strategies or just looking to hang out without the pressure of competition. Run long sets (No FT100s please Dog.), reflect on games, level up.
Ranbats Rounds - For anyone that has attended before, this is still the same. Double elimination bracket, games played like any standard offline tournament.
But what about the 3 divisions? Will there be 3 different brackets? NO
Everyone will play in the same bracket, each match will just have different points assigned to it depending on if it's a gold player vs a gold player or a silver player vs a bronze player.
And that's it. If you're still confused, jump into the discord and ask questions.
CASUAL FEE $15
Please pay Dave before sitting down on a setup.
If you're not looking to compete but want to have some offline games, pay at the door and jump on any free casual stations.
ONLINE SIGN UPS CLOSE AT 7.59pm the night before. If you missed online sign ups but still want to compete then just turn up and register on the day when Dave makes the announcement, we do not check messages/DMs on tournament day.
If you have a Street Fighter 6 (PS5), Tekken 8, 2XKO or a setup for any tournament game and are able to bring it in please message Dave as we are always a few setups short on tournament day and greatly appreciate any help from the community.
Plus more setups means more casual stations (Monitors/power cord/hdmi cord all provided, we just need your console).
Due to increase in venue fee, all tournaments are free to enter, albeit, without a prize pool. If there is enough interest in charging for tournament entry/prize pools, then we can look at adding it later on in the year.
Can't make it down then you can catch all the action on https://twitch.tv/standingfierce (Any game that doesn't reach 6 entrants by close of online sign ups will not have a bracket run and will be a casual setup on the day)
Plus anything the community feels like playing
We are back again at Small Rave, based at 74 K'rd in the CBD of Auckland City.
Wanna know more, turn up and find out!!!!
So that's it, go sign up and we'll hopefully see you there.
With the increase in processing fees, we have added bank deposit details when signing up with the "Pay at the venue" option. Please use your startgg account name as reference and send a screen shot of your payment to [email protected] or just have it handy to show on the day.
Please bring in your own controllers/converters to the event. We do not have controllers/converters available for borrowing at our events so please come prepared.
