We will meet on the steps of Auckland War Memorial Museum at 1 pm. Photo opportunities while we gather.Our walk will commence at 1:30 pm through the Domain down to Park Road Exit , across Grafton Bridge ( hold onto your hats!). Cross over Symonds Street onto Karanahape Road, turn RIGHT onto Queens Street and continue down Queens Street as far as Myers Park. Here we can enjoy the pretty Myers Park and take more photos in this little valley out of the wind. Then at your leisure take the steps that lead you up to the iconic St Kevin’s Arcade, where our walk finishes. Here we can mingle and partake of refreshments and the delights the beautiful St Kevin’s Arcade has on offer.
Participation is free, and everyone is welcome.
Dress code: all participants must wear a hat.
In the spirit of international collaboration, the organizers of Barcelona Hat Stroll have given their blessing for walks to be held on the same date across the globe. Millinery associations and organisers around the world will all promote the art of hats by holding Hat Walks of their own.
Auckland Hat Walk 2025 is Auckland‘s first time joining this global event. Come and join this global event celebrating all things hats. It’s a wonderful opportunity to express your creativity and love of hats whether you are a fashion student, professional milliner or someone that just loves hats - you are invited to join us on Sunday, 27 April 2025.
