Tardigrade World presents ACRCAR
Auckland Community Recycling Centre Artist Residency.
An Artist Residency programme where artists are challenged to practice art-making in a recycling centre under a waste conscious and sustainability-oriented context. By connecting the art community and recycling centres, ACRCAR wants to create more possibilities for waste minimisation and provide an artistic contribution to our community’s sustainability goals.
We are working with Localised at their Tamaki Zero Waste Hub:
Localised is 100% owned by the Zero Waste Network, a membership organisation with over 120 members working in the resource recovery sector throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Both entities are registered charities, and Localised also holds accreditation as an Ākina certified social enterprise.
Localised builds on this experience to support community enterprises to get started or expand existing operations.

Induction with the site staff and sign in are required by the door.
Masks are required.
Limited parking area around the building (reverse parking is advised).
Off street parking is available.
Workshop tools/power tools on site, not suitable for children under 14.
