Learn all about the native plants that will keep your garden flourishing all season long and encourage pollinators to come back for more.

Join us for a walk through Hancock Woodlands Park to discover the best native plants for attracting pollinators to your yard, as well as adding colour, texture and joy to your yard and neighbourhood.

Invite a neighbour to attend with you!

Consider walking, wheeling or taking public transit to this event.

This workshop is designed for urban residents living in but anyone is welcome to join.

What to Wear

  • This event will be held outdoors. Dress for the weather and conditions.

What to Bring

  • Your own reusable water bottle.
  • Sunscreen and bug spray.

2026 Neighbourhood Tree Giveaway

CVC's home planting team will deliver and help plant a free tree to homeowners on less than one acre in Mississauga’s Cooksville SNAP, Acton SNAP, Brampton’s Fletchers Creek SNAP and Community Tree Project neighbourhoods. Limit of one free tree per household in 2026. Check your eligibility and learn more.
