About this Event

This event is hosted by Enkindle Consulting and The Shift People, specifically designed for HR leaders, General Managers, and CEOs in the aged care and disability sectors, offering valuable insights and practical strategies to enhance your workforce.

Guest Expert Speakers:

Joanne Gair from Wesley Mission will discuss how their partnership with a Queensland-based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) has transformed their community-based traineeship program. Jo will explain how this collaboration has enabled trainees to start delivering services earlier in their studies, accelerating their practical learning and contributing more quickly to the workforce. This rapid approach to training is helping Wesley Mission meet the growing demand for services while equipping trainees with valuable hands-on experience, fostering stronger workforce readiness and supporting community needs more effectively.

Penny Kee, CEO of Mobility will join Jennene Buckley to explore the evolving world of platform providers in aged care. They will demystify common myths surrounding platform providers and offer valuable insights into how these platforms can support aged care providers. As the workforce shifts towards incorporating gig economy workers, the session will also focus on how these changes can be leveraged to address workforce challenges in aged care. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of platform-based solutions and how they can enhance workforce flexibility and resilience within their organisations.

Rebecca Pacey from Infin8 Care will share the story of how their organisation has rethought recruitment by implementing an employee referral program, which has delivered exceptional results. Now their number one recruitment strategy, this program has not only helped Infin8 Care grow its workforce but has also significantly improved staff retention. Rebecca will delve into how this innovative approach is reshaping their recruitment efforts and contributing to a stronger, more engaged workforce, providing valuable insights for other aged care providers looking to enhance their own recruitment and retention strategies.

Atul Kumar, CEO of Wongaburra Society, will discuss how their organisation has strategically leveraged the Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement to bolster its qualified direct care workforce and address critical gaps in its staffing roster. Atul will share insights into how these efforts have reduced absenteeism, improving continuity of care and operational efficiency. He will share how this has been instrumental in driving positive outcomes for staff and residents within the aged care environment at Wongaburra.
