The Atlanta Tango Mini-Fest is coming June 19–21, 2026, and we're kicking things off in style with our very first guest artist weekend featuring two of the most compelling voices in the national tango scene.
Meet Your Artists: James Valentino & Dagny Arizona Miller
James Valentino & Dagny Arizona Miller are an Argentine Tango partnership that lives at the crossroads of contrast and chemistry. Teaching and performing at major festivals and marathons across the U.S. since 2021, their work is defined by improvisation, musical curiosity, and a fearless embrace of individuality.
James brings an untraditional, earth-driven approach shaped by hip-hop, Latin dance, and street-rooted movement. Dagny counters with a refined foundation in tango and ballet — light, classical, and exquisitely articulate. Where James bends rules, Dagny clarifies them. Where Dagny floats, James grounds.
Detroit meets New York. Earth meets air. Structure meets freedom.
In both teaching and performance, James and Dagny invite dancers to honor who they are, listen harder, and dance more honestly — without losing joy, play, or connection.
