Please join us on Sunday, April 19, 3pm, for the Ram Dass Meet Up hosted by Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta (SLCA), at the Unitarian Universalist church campus at 2650 N. Druid Hills Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. Please mark your calendars for the 3rd Sunday of the month at 3pm for our meet up, as this is now a continuing offering by SLCA.
PLEASE READ THESE SHORT NOTES!
1. RSVP: Please RSVP, with integrity, by responding “going” or send me an email (PM me for email and to get on email list) by Thursday April 16 if you are planning to join us, so we can plan appropriately. Let me know if you can volunteer!
2. VOLUNTEER: We desperately need volunteers, particularly for cleanup. If you can volunteer for set up before the event, help during the event, or clean up, please let me know.
3. BRING: Please bring food to share (this is so important!). If you want to sit on the floor, bring props. Bring a cup with a lid for chai, and bring a friend or two!
4. ARRIVAL: Please arrive early, bring your food to the kitchen, grab a cup of chai, say hello to friends, and find a seat.
5. LOVE OFFERING: Donations will be gratefully accepted by Nandi Dass to cover expenses (www.nandidass.com/donate, or Venmo, Zelle, or cash at event). There is no charge to attend the gathering, although you are encouraged, through the energy of reciprocity, to donate something, even $5 to help support our costs. Please consider giving a little extra to support those who cannot.

), from 10:44 to 23:00, where he explores the difference between "getting high" and "getting free." Ram Dass says that pushing away our humanity keeps us trapped — true freedom requires embracing it. We have to be willing to bear the unbearable, including the overwhelming suffering of the world, without closing our hearts.
We will chant and meditate together, listen and discuss the Ram Dass teaching, and share a meal together.
