The comedy scene in Athens, GA has been flourishing organically at the helm of its local comedians.
Since 2022, comics have been creating their own opportunities and culture in the Classic City. In the wake of the pandemic locals began rebuilding their scene in Athens rock and roll fashion by starting open mics and showcases in partnership with local venues across the city.
These shows started a movement that has created a rich comedy culture in Athens. The Athens Comedy Fest now elevates the comedy scene to the next level with national headliners, touring comedians, and standout local talent with the second annual Athens Comedy Fest.
