Joignez-nous pour la projection du film Kalitus (5 min) suivi d'un atelier d'introduction au cyanotype. Nous commencerons par regarder ensemble le film “Kalitus” de la réalisatrice Alia Ardon, qui explore les plantations coloniales d'eucalyptus au Maroc, à travers un mélange d’animation, d’archives et de film.
Ensuite, l’artiste et curatrice Marie Poisson animera un atelier de cyanotype. Nous irons ensemble sur la Petite Ceinture pour observer et récolter des plantes afin et nous créerons des cyanotypes et réfléchirons aux histoires que ces plantes nous racontent. Nous explorerons aussi les teintures botaniques afin de faire changer de couleur nos cyanotypes!

This workshop will also be lead in english!
Join us for a short film screening and cyanotype workshop. We’ll begin by watching and discussing “Kalitus”, a film by Alia Ardon which explores eucalyptus plantations as colonial tools in Morocco, through a mix of animation, archival footage, and film.
After the screening, artist and curator Marie Poisson will lead a cyanotype workshop. Together, you’ll explore the Petite Ceinture in search of weeds and overlooked plants, collecting them to create cyanotype prints and reflecting on their stories and legacies. We'll also explore together the world of botanical dyes to show you how your cyanotypes can magically change colour!
This workshop is on a sliding scale paid once on-site.
