About this Event
Join us on April 3 at Centrovilla for AT THE TABLE, a powerful, participatory conversation featuring artists Jalisa Robinson and Glenna Jennings of Desert Kitchen Collective, alongside Dr. Ashanté M. Reese. Inspired by The Price of Eggs, currently on view at moCa Cleveland, and Dr. Reese’s acclaimed book Gather: Black Food, Nourishment, and the Art of Togetherness. This program creates space to explore the deep connections between food, culture, and community.
Through storytelling and open dialogue, guests are invited to reflect on how food shapes access, memory, and resilience within Black and working-class communities. AT THE TABLE centers food as both a source of connection and a lens into inequity, while also highlighting its role in care, creativity, and collective healing. This event is in partnership with Thirdspace Reading Room, West Side Market, and CentroVilla25.
