About this Event
Explore your creativity and imagination through your body in this two-part, in-person art experience. Together, we’ll slow down, notice how our bodies feel, and use movement, drawing, words, and mixed materials to create art that reflects our inner experiences. No prior art experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
The artwork created during this experience will be displayed in the Burnaby Stride Fest Art Walk, giving the community a chance to celebrate and enjoy your creations.
What to Expect:
- Attune to your body and notice sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
- Work alone or with a partner, guided by your comfort level.
- Use your observations to create mixed-media artwork.
- Learn to connect imagination and body awareness with creative expression.
About your Community host:
Linden Yin is a counselling therapist and interdisciplinary artist. She brings over 20 years of experience in Shaolin martial arts, Reiki, expressive arts therapy, dance, and somatic awareness practices, including a residency in a monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal.
