Ever wondered what’s happening above your head when the sun goes down? 🌌 Join us for a fun and social evening where science meets stjerneskud! This month, we’re thrilled to welcome James Scott, the driving force behind the Nordic Meteor Network – a citizen science project aimed at turning the Danish and Greenlandic night sky into a hotspot for meteor research. With student-built cameras scattered across Denmark, the network is already detecting fireballs and meteors at an incredible rate!
James will take us on a journey through the skies, sharing stories from both the Nordic and New Zealand meteor networks – including how they’ve discovered new meteor showers and even recovered a meteorite! 🚀✨
