About this Event
One of my favorite hobbies is astrology or the study of the stars. I love knowing that humans, regardless of where they lived or at what time they lived, observed the night sky and created meaning and stories based on their celestial observations. I am fascinated that no matter where or when on the historical timeline you look, similar patterns and archetypes emerge. Hmmm. There must be something to astrology if humans, acting independently of each other, kept drawing the same conclusions.
Carl Jung, the psychotherapist and author, thought so. He called astrology “the science of antiquity” and believed that the symbols and meanings assigned to zodiac signs and planets reflected the collective unconscious.
As a student of Jung’s, I view astrology through the lens of archetypes and enjoy the study of the relationship between the signs and the planets. I have found this study not only supports my growing understanding of myself but also supports my understanding of the collective. I suspect that I am not alone which is why I created a three-part series to share this knowledge with others.
Part One: Saturday, January 11 from 10 am to 12 pm: Zodiac Signs and their corresponding archetypes
During this workshop, we will unpack the characteristics of each of the twelve zodiac signs. You will learn about the corresponding archetype for each sign as well as the element and the mode. You also will learn that each sign is one pole of a continuum as well as learn how to find balance on each of the continuums.
Part Two: Saturday, January 25 from 10 am to 12 pm: What the heck are houses in Astrology?
During this workshop, we will delve into the meaning of each of the twelve houses. Looking through the lens of the whole house system, you will learn how the hero’s journey is reflected in the progression of the houses and have a better understanding of how current aspects impact different areas of your life based on which house the aspect is occurring.
Part Three: Saturday, February 8 from 10 am to 12 pm: Understanding your Rising Sign (and how that is different than your Sun sign)
This workshop will be the most personal of all three workshops. I, therefore, will need your birth information prior to attending, specifically day of birth, place of birth, time of birth (best estimate). During this workshop, you will discover your Rising Sign or Ascendant and learn the significance of this placement. We will compare your rising sign to your sun sign and discuss how this information can support the way that you make decisions and move through the world.
Astrology offers a powerful framework to understand ourselves and the world around us. By exploring the archetypes, houses, and rising signs, we uncover a deeper connection to the universal patterns that have inspired humanity for millennia. This three-part series invites you to step into this ancient wisdom and apply it in a practical, personal way. Whether you’re seeking self-discovery or a greater understanding of the collective, these workshops promise to enrich your perspective and help you navigate life with greater clarity and intention. Join me in this journey of cosmic exploration, and see what the stars reveal for you.
$40 per workshop, if you pay for all three at once, then $100.
