Photographer/filmmakers Anna Hedges and Marissa McGarry invite you to join them for this warm and cozy Fireside Chat:We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to begin a conversation between photography & filmmaking and how they can be a language to connect us with our neighbors near and far. We’ll also be discussing what it could look like to practice the art of photography and filmmaking as a means to helping us slow down and pay attention to the world around us. We believe the best camera is the one you have with you. And for many of us, that means our phones. We’ll talk about how this tool can become a means to sharing our own unique worlds and why that may be important. We’re looking forward to our time together. About Anna:
Anna Hedges is a portrait and commercial photographer from Hickory Tree, Tennessee. She currently resides in Johnson City and has the immense joy of sharing her days making pictures with clients across the country as a full-time freelancer.Along with her passion for photography, she delights in quilting, sailing, gardening and writing. And coffee with heavy whipping cream.
About Marissa:
Marissa McGarry is a content creator located out of Johnson City, Tennessee.She has worked professionally in media since the age of 17 andenjoyed working on music video and youtube sets in Salt Lake City before moving to TN in 2017.She built a full time media business “Maypop Media” with her husband Mitch McGarry and now employs 3 people on her team to create photo and video for clients around the United States.
Marissa is very passionate about "creating a life you love" and making small business success attainable. Some of her other hobbies include playing music, reading, adventures with her hubby, baking sourdoughbread, and cuddling her two doodles, Ralph and Elvis.
