About this Event

We will be hosting a book launch event at Scenic Hudson's new Northside Hub Community Space in Poughkeepsie on June 11th: An Evening with Dr. Tom Fleischner, author of Astonished By Beauty: A Field Guide to the Practice of Paying Attention.

Thomas Lowe Fleischner is Founder and former Executive Director of the Natural History Institute (naturalhistoryinstitute.org) in Prescott, Arizona, Faculty Emeritus at Prescott College, as well as the former Chair of the Natural History Section of the Ecological Society of America.

Tom was founding President of the Natural History Network, co-founded the North Cascades Institute in Washington state and has served on the Board of Governors of the Society for Conservation Biology.
