Join Max Meyers, program coordinator at Leach Botanical Garden, and Johnson Creek Watershed Council for a guided garden tour in ASL. See our fantastic botanical collection, learn about the Garden’s unique history, and experience the wonder of Portland’s diverse ecosystems. Open to all ASL signers; primarily geared towards Deaf visitors and their families. After the tour, Johnson Creek Watershed Council will provide light refreshments and snacks, and we’ll have a shady spot to sit and chat.
Tour will follow uneven paths and slopes, on a mix of gravel, steps, and pavement. Our route is not wheelchair accessible.
Tour will be in ASL only; no English interpretation will be available. Max is a CODA who grew up in Eugene, Oregon, with a mix of ASL, PSE, and English.
Tour is free with admission; admission for adults is $5 per person. If admission cost is a barrier for entry, please email Max at [email protected] to request Garden For All free admission.
