About this Event
What does it mean to hold memory—and how do we preserve it in a digital world?
“ask me to remember” is a collaborative learning series by Lede New Orleans in partnership with Preservation Hall Foundation, inviting participants to explore memory work, community archiving, and the preservation of stories and cultural legacies.
In this next session we will shift from reflection into practice. Together, we’ll learn how to build and manage our own digital archives, using accessible tools and platforms to organize, preserve, and share personal and community histories.
For this session, think about what story do I want my archive to share? Feel free to bring in some items that reflect that answer (or that you’d like to begin incorporating in a digital archive). Whether you’re just beginning or continuing your archiving journey, this session offers practical tools to help you carry memory forward in digital form.

*This is session two of our “ask me to remember” series. Our next session—“Creation and Navigation of Physical Archives”—will take place in June.
