About this Event
Ask a Journalist Office Hours: Pitch for Success
Learn how to capture an editor’s attention by crafting an irresistible pitch.
This is a live 45-minute session with a seasoned journalist who will review The OpEd Project’s tried and true “Pitch to Win” strategy, live-edit pitches (chosen from among those you submit), make recommendations for improvements, and answer your questions about everything from the best opening line to pitching etiquette.
Whether or not your pitch is selected, you will get extremely valuable insights into how a professional editor/journalist works and thinks about pitching, that will be immediately applicable.

ABOUT THE OPED PROJECT
The OpEd Project is a global thought leadership project that accelerates the ideas and impact of underrepresented voices, especially women of all backgrounds. We believe the best ideas, regardless of where they come from, should have a chance to be heard and change the world. We also believe the world is more intelligent when it is more inclusive.
We are a community of journalists, commentary writers, thought leaders and change-agents who actively share knowledge, resources and connections across color, creed, class, sexuality, gender, age, ability and beyond. We have been featured in most major media. We have stunning results.
