What is ASIST?
ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day, in-person workshop designed to equip participants with essential suicide intervention skills. Through engaging audiovisuals, discussions, and hands-on simulations, participants will learn how to:
✅ Recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide
✅ Conduct a skilled intervention to offer immediate support
✅ Develop a safety plan to connect individuals with ongoing care
✅ Examine personal and community attitudes about suicide and how they influence intervention
Guided by experienced trainers, this workshop fosters a supportive and safe learning environment to help participants build confidence and competence in suicide first aid.
