While developing a horror game, Hsu-chuan brings home a broken clay baby doll. His pregnant wife, Muhua, becomes obsessed with restoring it. But when her obsession results in a series of strange events, Hsu-chuan seeks the help of an exorcist to uncover the doll’s secrets. 

Editor-turned-director Shieh Meng-ju puts a modern twist on a well-known local folk tale by combining technology with old-school thrills, turning a tale about one couple’s fear of impending parenthood into a spectacular horror film. As the obsessed wife, Cecilia Choi’s unhinged performance ensures that you will never see a clay doll the same way ever again.
