We are excited to announce the upcoming fall 2024 collaboration between ALN Waco and the Waco Downtown Farmer’s Market (WDFM) Wednesday Night Market: Diwali Festival 2024 - Wednesday, November 6, 2024 5-8pm at Bridge Street Plaza! SAVE THE DATE!Following ALN's successful collaboration with the WDFM during the Year of the Dragon Lunar New Year Market in February 2024, we were inspired by the overwhelming community support and jubilant festivities to create more cultural events. We are eager to showcase the rich vibrancy of South Asian culture in our upcoming Diwali celebration and honored to partner with the WDFM again.
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is widely honored and the most significant celebration throughout the year in India and South Asia. It commemorates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It's a time for reflection, renewal, and the celebration of life's blessings, fostering unity, and bringing communities together in a spirit of love and harmony.
We're dedicated to curating an experience filled with diverse performances and market vendors showcasing South Asian arts and goods. We aim to reflect our community's authentic cultural richness through the invaluable perspectives of our diverse board, including South Asian members, and through our Fundraising & Events Planning Committee's collaborative partnership with the WDFM.

Rajesh Solanki will be working on designing our Diwali full flyer and merchandise. You will have opportunities to support ALN Waco through merchandise purchases the day of the event and there will be live performances, activities and giveaways. Stay tuned for more details!
