About this Event
What does it mean to show up civically as an Asian folks? As elected officials? As civic rights activists? As social impact leaders?
How do we navigate culture, community, and belonging in sectors that often asks us to leave ourselves at the door?
Join us for an in-person community conversation that brings Asian social impact leaders across sectors to explore civic engagement through the lens of culture and identity. This is a space to think out loud, connect with peers, and hear from people doing this work across different corners of the sector.
This event is for Asian folks in the nonprofit space. All of us, across the diaspora, across roles, across experience levels, navigating a sector that was not always built with us in mind.
We are honoured to be joined by:
Chi Nguyen — Member of Parliament
Andrew Chung — Hong Fook Care
Shonottra Kumar — Amnesty International
Anam Zakaria — Qissa
