In this concert he presents his music with the legendary tabla genius Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, who accompanied Kushal Das’s idol, the late Pandit Nikhil Banerjee, for many years. India’s foremost female vocalist, Deshpande, closes the final concert of the festival. With her crystal clear, sublime tonal note bending she leads us through the emotive landscapes of midnight ragas. She is accompanied by Lele and Bicholkar, giving perfect improvisational accompaniment.
