Once again, The Blacksmith's Arms in Willesborough will be hosting this unique social event, where the venue will be going 100% plant-based for the entire day.Our event will take place in the evening, and it will be a fairly informal gathering, where hopefully we will create a safe and welcoming space for our local vegan community to come together.
This month, we will have a special guest! We will be joined by Billy Thompson, founder of The Retreat Animal Rescue Farm Sanctuary, for a Q&A session from around 7.30pm.
There will be food available to order at the bar, all of which will be vegan, menu TBA. All food will also be nut-free.
Please note: certain beverages available at the bar may not be vegan however, though many will be. You are advised to check before ordering.
Children are also welcome to come along to the social, as are dogs. The venue has step-free access for those with disabilities.
For those on a limited income, we encourage you to come along as well. You are not required to purchase food or drink to attend, nor is there an entrance fee.
On the evening, we will be running a 'pay-it-forward' scheme: guests can offer to pay for a meal and / or drink for another person from our group. Meals will be £10, drinks will be £6, just pay at the bar and they'll put a meal or drink token into a container, which will be available for anyone to claim on the night!
Please mark yourself as 'going' if you're intending to be there, so that we can get a clear idea of numbers. Avoid using the 'interested' option if possible, as it doesn't really help us.
