Asheville Cotton Mill has reopened with two local artists front and center- painters Amanda McLenon and Jonathan Bidwell. Come join us in celebrating their return to the River Arts District. The newly founded Asheville Fine Art Gallery is a light filled space and it creates a unique experience for viewing the artwork. Jonathan will be featuring a recently completed commission- an enormous mountainscape triptych that has to be seen in person to be experienced. An artist who is known for everything from large murals in acrylic to exceptionally small jewels of painting in watercolor, this large scale oil painting is testament to the breadth and expertise of his painting skills. Amanda is a biologist turned painter who is known for her understated yet breathtaking portraits of large wading birds. Her recent exposed linen series will be on display with the luminous gold and silver gilding she is widely recognized for. Please join us in welcoming them back and experiencing this collection of work- hanging in the same space for the first time for this Asheville couple. Saturday, May 16th 4-7pm- light refreshments will be served. While you are here- step into the neighboring Ochre Rose Gallery for an equally compelling art experience.
