This is a relaxed, welcoming walking group for friendly, well-mannered dogs and their humans. While the group was inspired by golden retriever walks, all loving and polite dogs are welcome, along with babies and families. I will be bringing my child, so this is a comfortable, family-friendly environment.We meet every other Sunday starting March 15 at 10:30 AM, weather permitting. Walks take place at Hominy Creek River Access near Carrier Park in West Asheville. The path is stroller-friendly, making it easy for parents with young children to join.
Participants can choose between a 2-mile or 5-mile walk, depending on their pace and preference. This group is about enjoying fresh air, building community, and giving our dogs (and ourselves) a healthy, social outing—no pressure, no training expectations, just respectful dogs and kind people.
Come as you are, leash up, and enjoy a peaceful walk by the river with neighbors, dogs, and families.
