More on Asher Roth:
Asher Roth uses music to capture moments. Nearly 15 years ago, Asher demonstrated a passion for far-reaching references and advanced flows. The Morrisville, PA, WCU-lovin’ Roth relocated to Atlanta, where he partnered with DJ Drama and Don Cannon for 2008's The Greenhouse Effect mixtape. Roth signed to Steve Rifkind (Loud Records) & Scooter Braun (SB Projects), released a double-platinum single “I Love College” and a gold debut in 2009’s - Asleep in the Bread Aisle. By 2010's Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry offering it was clear Roth was moving in his own direction. By cultivating a core fanbase through free albums like “Pabst & Jazz” and projects with Nottz & Travis Barker, Asher has been able to create a community-driven career. His belief in sustainability spawned an open-air venue in his home city of Philadelphia, Sunflower Philly, and provided him the inspiration for his independent releases Retrohash and Flowers On The Weekend. The former has become the name for his artist development company that recently played a role in The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 3.
More on Shabani:
David Shabani is a Congolese-Canadian alternative hip-hop artist based in Austin, Texas. In an area where the music culture is expansive and rapidly accelerating, his sound keeps pace by blending compellingly personal lyrics with high-energy backbeats that combine to work double time. Influenced by Kid Cudi, Kaytranada, Lupe Fiasco, and Childish Gambino, Shabani identifies with the outsiders of hip-hop. His catalog spans more than 50 original songs including collaborations with Texas rapper and producer Kydd Jones, and Grammy-winner Bobby Sessions. In 2023, Shabani will release new work produced by Cody Acosta (A. Chal, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign, Hit-Boy, Normani). The independent artist continues to make a name for himself with appearances at festivals like SXSW, ESPN X Games, The Drop In, Hot Summer Nights, and So What Music Festival, and performances at home and abroad supporting artists like Ashanti, Blxst, Nappy Roots, Shwayze, D Smoke, and others with his band, The Nu Leopards, a tribute to his Congolese roots.
