Ash Wednesday at St. Andrew's Church, Fort William

Ash Wednesday falls on 5th March this year, and we have again been invited to mark the beginning of Lent with our friends at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Fort William. Last year folk from both our parishes joined worship to begin the 40-day period of preparation for Easter. Our national churches have an agreement “to welcome one another’s members to worship and participate in the congregational life of each other’s churches,” and this is a wonderful opportunity to put words into action. Receiving the ashes and/or communion is optional. The service will take place at 7pm.
