About this Event

On August 9th, 2014, our community, nation, and globe was rocked to its core by the untimely death of Michael Brown Jr. (MB2) We never imagined that through this tragedy, our family and region would become the catalysts to changing how we respond and galvanize communities affected by social injustice. Through the pain, The Michael Brown Sr. Chosen for Change Organization (CFC) was formed with a mission to “provide care and support to fathers and families who are processing the unthinkable.”   On August 9th, 2015, the annual Michael Brown Memorial Weekend (MB2MW) was curated to create space for the community to cope, heal, and reinvent themselves. In the wake of his remembrance, hundreds and thousands of people solidified the beginning of the annual commemoration, radicalizing a path to legacy building and change.

The Michael Brown Sr. Chosen for Change Organization would like to cordially invite you to be a sponsor of our 10th annual MB2MW commemoration. CFC has purposely curated events from August 8th-August 11th 2024 that will unite our community, promote peace, healing, and reinvigorate the remembrance of Michael Brown Jr.
