Welcome to the Arts Partner Communities of Practice event! This meeting is hosted by Ingenuity in collaboration with Arts Ed Chi, and faciliated by Juliet Hart. Join us for a day of networking, collaboration, and creativity with fellow arts partners in your community. Facilitator Bio - Juliet Hart:

Juliet Hart is a founding member of TimeLine Theatre Company, where she serves as Director of The Living History Program and appears onstage when she can.

At TimeLine, she created the Living History Education Program, which has amplified the voices of thousands of Chicago Public School students since its inception and supports a collaborative teaching collective in the creation and implementation of curriculum planning for CPS residencies that center inclusion, equity, wellness and trauma informed pedagogy. Her career began as an intern at The Kennedy Center, in the Education Department and for their Theatre for Young People program.

Juliet has taught drama at Prairie State College and worked with more than 6,000 students in Chicagoland public and private schools as a teaching artist. She is an active member of TCG’s Education Directors Group and ArtsEd Chi, a cross-organizational working group comprised of arts educators and administrators across Chicago who collaborate, share best practices, act as thought partners and work together to improve arts education across Chicago.

Juliet has presented local and national workshops on active approaches to drama in the classroom for New Trier High School, the Illinois Association of Teachers of English and the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). She is the co-author of “Acting It Out – Using Drama in the Classroom to Improve Student Engagement, Reading and Critical Thinking.” (Routledge 2016).

Juliet holds an M.F.A in Acting from The Theatre School, DePaul University where she was a Sarah Siddons scholarship recipient and has completed coursework for her RCYT Yoga Certification (PreK-12) with a Trauma Informed Focus.
