About this Event
Step into the Montreal Art Center & Museum, a 140-year-old Griffintown landmark where art, culture, and conversation come to life. Surrounded by original artworks and the creative energy of the city’s artists, this historic venue sets the stage for a night where satire, storytelling, and free expression collide.
Arts on Fire presents The Art of Editorial Cartooning, a bold live talk show exploring the creative chaos behind the headlines — where humour cuts deep and every stroke tells a story.
Join Frédéric Serre and Anthony “Napoleon” Bonaparte, two of Montreal’s most daring and award-winning cartoonists, for a night of laughter, controversy, and unfiltered conversation. In this intimate museum setting, they’ll share their journeys through local media, their artistic triumphs (and battles), and the cartoons that made waves — including those “too hot for print.”
Hosted by Wayne Larsen — artist, author, and former Concordia University journalism professor — whose decades as an arts editor and cultural commentator bring insight, wit, and depth to this engaging exchange between artists and audience.
🔥 Expect a raw, interactive evening where satire challenges power, creativity meets controversy, and laughter becomes a form of truth.
🎟️ Admission: $10 donation — all proceeds support local visual and performing arts at the Montreal Art Center & Museum.
