GUSTAV KLIMT - The Kiss
'The Kiss' is an oil-on-canvas painting with added gold leaf, silver and platinum by the Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. It is believed to have been painted at some point in 1907 and 1908, during the height of what is known as his "Golden Period".
The Kiss projects the two lovers outside of time and space through their passion and desire for one another. This painting is widely recognised and celebrated.
