ArtLab OKC
Class Description: To all you overwhelmed and self-sacrificing health professionals, you’ve been asking for it, so here it is. I’m now offering my creative group immersion experience, ArtLab OKC, to the OKC Metro. We spend so much of our time and energy supporting our patients in healing, becoming, and accept who they truly are. It’s a beautiful career. It can also be isolating and exhausting—always giving to others with very little left for ourselves. That’s why I created ArtLab OKC. I’m combining all my therapeutic expertise with my love of art and community. I will facilitate 8 weekly group sessions and provide all your materials. You will use multiple art mediums to explore ideas, experiences, and feelings. You will have opportunities for encouragement and reflection. You don’t have to be an artist to participate, the art critics can join a different group. Groups will be capped at 12 members. Participants working within (or retired from) the helping professions will have priority placement.
Cost: First session FREE to those healing professionals who want to try it out. Introductory discount price for new members is $500 TOTAL. This includes membership for all 8 weeks as well as all supplies and you will own them upon the group’s close.
$600 for return members.
Sara Whitehead, has been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009. She has led art groups for over 15 years and has dedicated over a decade to building her private practice. She is not a registered art therapist although she has received special training in art therapy through the American Art Therapy Association beginning in 2021.
