Artivism for Climate Justice: Empowering Young Artists as Climate Advocates
Banye Art Foundation, a Halifax-based nonprofit dedicated to art and social change, invites you to join our Artists Climate Justice Training Workshop. This inspiring session is part of our Artivism for Climate Justice project, supported by HCI3 and the Youth Climate Action Fund managed through HRM.
Building on our earlier My Climate and Art project, this workshop will explore how art can be a powerful force for climate advocacy. We recognize that while climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, many young artists in Nova Scotia are not yet engaged in climate justice efforts. This training is designed to change that.
Our goal is to equip young artists with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to become climate justice activists, supporters, and advocates. Through expert-led presentations, interactive discussions, and practical insights, participants will learn how to merge their creative practice with meaningful action, using art not only to create but also to drive change.
What to Expect:
- Inspiring talks from artist-activists and climate leaders
- Practical strategies for designing creative campaigns on climate justice
- Tools to amplify your voice through social media, exhibitions, and community platforms
- Networking with fellow young artists passionate about climate action
