Home & Family: A Printmaking Exhibit brings together established and emerging voices to explore the idea of home as both a physical place and an emotional landscape. On view at Taylor-Grady House from February 6 - 27, 2026, the exhibition reflects on belonging, kinship, shared care, and the networks of people and memories that shape who we are. Featuring work by acclaimed Atlanta-based printmaker Jamaal Barber, alongside fourteen University of Georgia student artists and two UGA faculty members, the exhibition showcases a range of printmaking techniques. Together, the works offer layered perspectives on identity, family, community, and resilience, emphasizing storytelling as a powerful tool for connection.
Presented in celebration of Black History Month, Home & Family highlights the strength of intergenerational dialogue and collaborative learning, underscoring the role of the arts in fostering understanding, empathy, and community within a historic setting.
The exhibition is organized and hosted collaboratively by the Black Artist Alliance, Printmaking Student Association of the University of Georgia, and Taylor-Grady House at Landmark Commons.
