About this Event
Join us for a very special evening of artistic inspirations from across the African continent!
Atlanta Bushwick Bookclub is collaborating with Akazi ATL to present artistic inspirations from African literature. The evening will include original music, spoken word poetry, visual art, and food inspired by "Confessions of the Lioness" by Mia Couto and "20 years of the Caine Prize for African writing", a collection of short stories. This magical event will transpire in the beautiful space of Akazi ATL gallery in the historic Haugabrooks building, surrounded by the transformative sculptures of Gonçalo Mabunda from Mozambique.
