About this Event
Exhibition Etiquette & Being Your Own Preparator
What Noah has planned for this workshop:
Making the Art is only a third of being a professional Artist.
Representing, applying, and promoting yourself is another part. And the last part most people forget about is: documenting, presentation, and installation.
This workshop is to help prepare you to be your own preparator when you might not have one provided by a gallery or museum, or how to be the most well-equipped you can be when you show up to work with one. We’ll go over the checklist of what you should typically have when you show up, and all the information you should be communicating before you step through the door.
Having both a broad vision for a specific space before you walk in, but also having attention to the details once you’re there, will help your installation. And once you're through with the install, document everything as well & as much as you can.
