Artist Workshop: Painting From Photographs
Join us for a relaxed, full-day oil painting workshop guided by contemporary artist Pippa Hale-Lynch. Over the course of the day, Pippa will gently guide you through creating your own oil painting from start to finish.
You’ll learn how to work from a photo reference, safely use oil paints, mix colours, and explore techniques Pippa uses in her own art practice. This workshop is perfect for beginners, anyone curious about trying oil painting for the first time, or those looking for supportive guidance to build confidence in their painting practice.
All materials are included, along with a digital workshop booklet to keep — and you’ll take your painting home with you at the end of the day.

There will be a one-hour lunch break from 1–2pm. Lunch isn’t provided, but there are plenty of nearby cafés and shops to explore. Several paid parking options are also available close by.
About Pippa:
Pippa Hale-Lynch is a contemporary figurative artist working with oil paint, based in Weston-super-Mare. She draws on over 12 years of practice and training in traditional representational drawing and painting, and continues to exhibit internationally — most recently at the National Portrait Gallery, London.
