About this Event
Hosted by the Yale Black Alumni Association, this program will take place on May 14th from 6–8 PM in MoAD’s Salon.
The conversation will center on Beauty Plus—New Haven’s second Black-owned beauty supply store, which served as a vital community institution for over 31 years. Through this lens, the discussion will explore Ross’s fine-art documentary practice, her collaboration with Lee, and the importance of preserving cultural memory.
Together, they will reflect on the histories, aesthetics, and third spaces that shape Black life.
While presented in partnership with the Yale community, this event is open to all who feel connected to the themes of the work.
