About HOME: A place we call
14 March 2026 – 31 May 2026
Home is an idea we return to often and consider often — a place, a feeling, a memory, a longing. How we think of this idea can be complex and richly layered: connection to Country, communities deeply rooted in place, people creating new lives; landscapes shaped by fire and flood; rituals of daily life.
For this exhibition Hawkesbury Regional Gallery has invited artists from across the Hawkesbury to reflect on what home means to them. Home will explore notions of belonging, domestic beauty and places and experiences that shape our everyday, memory and celebrating where and how we live.
At a time when ideas of home, shelter, security, and identity are complex, this exhibition offers space to consider and share our connections to and experience of place. How we are shaped by, and in turn how we make the places we call home.
