Faig Ahmed delves into neuroscience to explore how we perceive, interpret, and engage with art. At the core of Azerbaijani artist Faig Ahmed’s practice are two fundamental questions: What do we look at when we look at art, and how do we look at it? In this talk, Ahmed—whose work is on view in the Art@Bainbridge exhibition "Faig Ahmed: Textiles of Consciousness"—traces his artistic trajectory from his early engagement with traditional textile practices to his current research-driven work at the intersection of art, perception, and neuroscience.
Art@Bainbridge will be open on the day of the event from 4–8 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public, no tickets or registration required.
